Definition of Past indefinite Tense
This tense shows the things and actions, completed in the past.It is also called simple past tense.

Formation of Past indefinite tense sentences
We use “subject” in the beginning of the sentence.
After the subject we use “2nd” form the verb.
Then we use “object” if any.
At the end of the sentence we use “full stop”(.).
Subject + Verb 2nd form + Object.
S + V 2nd form + O
They + wrote + a book.
اردو فقرات کی انگریزی بنانے کا طریقہ
اردو فقرات کی انگریزی بنانے کے لیے سب سے پہلے فاعل پھر فعل کی دوسری فارم کے بعد مفعول (اگر کوئی ہے تو) اور آخر میں فل سٹاپ لگا دیتے ہیں مثلا
وہ مسجد گیا
He went to the mosque.
ثانیہ نے ابو کو خط لکھا
Sania wrote a letter to her father.
علیم کہانیاں لکھتا تھا
Aleem wrote stories.
Formation of negative sentences
To make negative sentences
After the subject we use “did not” and 1st form of the verb
Then we use the object(if any)
At the end of the sentence we use full stop(.).
Subject +did not +verb 1st form+object.
S +did not + V 1st form + O
Yasmeen +did not + write +a letter.
اردو میں منفی فقرے بنانے کا طریقہ
سب سے پہلے فاعل لکھتے ہیں پھر

لکھ کر فعل کی پہلی فارم لگا دیتے ہیں
اس کے بعد اگر کوئی فاعل ہو تو وو لکھتے ہیں
اور آخر میں فل اسٹاپ (.) لگا دیتے ہیں مثلا
علینہ آ ئیس کریم نہیں کھاتی تھی
Aleena did not eat ice cream.
عمر نے گانا نہیں گایا
Umer did not sing a song.
انہوں نے ریل گاڑی کا سفر نہیں کیا
They did not travel in the train.
Formation of interrogative sentences
To make we use “did” in the beginning of the sentence
And other rules of the sentence are same
If a sentence has any question word(what,where,whose,whom etc) we use them in the beginning (before did)of the sentence.
Did + subject + verb 1st form +object ?
Did + S + V 1st form + O ?
Did +she + drink + water ?

Did they help the injured man?کیا میمونہ نے چاۓ پی؟
Did Maimoona take tea?
کیا عبدالله نے انعام نہیں جیتا؟
Did ABDULLAH not win the prize?
تم نے کس کو دیکھا؟
